I am a chef by trade but like to call myself a 'Hospitality Professional', why? let me explain.
I began my career working in, and ultimately managing, hotels in Sri Lanka.
Since arriving in Australia in 1984, I have worked in a variety of locations including conference centres, clubs, cafes and restaurants.
I have also set up and operated my own award winning cafes, restaurant and wine centre, this included the Kilmore Town Hall Cafe and Restaurant.
Since selling the business in 2010, I have worked as a hospitality teacher at Assumption College Kilmore, and own and operate a food production business that is accredited with the Victorian Farmers Market Association.
I produce a range of fresh vacuum packed curry paste as well as chilli sauces, pickles and chutneys. You can find me at the following accredited farmers markets;
1st Saturday - Woodend.
1st Sunday - Tallarook.
2nd Saturday - Kyneton.
2nd Sunday - Eltham.
4th Saturday - Lancefield.
4th Sunday - Nagambie (at Tahbilk winery grounds).
I also conduct cooking classes and food tours to Sri Lanka, you can see photos of my tour here.
This business has been accredited by the
Victorian Farmers' Market Association.
You can be sure this stallholder has made
the produce they sell.
